What is a Career Experience Day?

Students visit (2-4 hours) one or more employees at a business site to learn the daily routines and activities of a particular job or jobs in the industry. Businesses and employees who host job shadows spend time engaging with student to showcase what their job entails and answer questions student may have.  Student are able to experience and see what the work environment is like.


Our recommended agenda for a career experience is:

8:30 AM Arrival

8:45 AM Company Overview/Tour

9:00 AM 1st Career Shadow

10:00 AM 2nd Career Shadow

11:00 AM 3rd Career Shadow

11:45 AM (Optional) Take student photo to submit to INSPIRE

12:00 PM Closing

How to participate?

Log into your career cruising account and navigate to the “INSPIRE Sheboygan Tab”.  From here you can view activities and search for the one you want to participate in.  Once you find your activity, simply click on “make request”, complete the details and you are all set!  Companies may limit attendance to please register early!
